IAS-Lab

The Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padua is a leading centre for education, research and technological development in the area of electronics, quantum physics, automatic control, photonics, telecommunications, computer science, instrumentation and measurement, operation research and bioengineering.The IAS-Lab (Intelligent Autonomous Systems Laboratory) is one of the 28 laboratories of the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padua. The activity at IAS-Lab concerns the study of several fields of Robotics. Its research cover the areas of computer vision, humanoids and wheeled robot programming, virtual simulation, biomechanical model based on human biosignal and wearable robots design for rehabilitation purposes.
Politecnico di Torino – POLITO is an engineering university based in Turin, Italy. Established in 1859, Politecnico di Torino is Italy’s oldest Technical University. In 2011 it was ranked among the top 75 engineering universities in the world and 1st in Italy by the Academic Ranking of World Universities.The Department of Control and Computer Engineering – DAUIN organizes research and teaching as regards three specific scientific and technical fields: Control Engineering, Computer Engineering, Operations Research.The Robotics Research Group – RRG does research in Industrial Robotics and Mobile Robotics. RRG manages a Robotics Laboratory (LabRob) that provides spaces and equipment for the experimental activities connected to the Robotics course for students attending the Mechatronics Engineering Master degree and the Computer Engineering Master degree, and provide experimental support to Graduate, Master and PhD thesis in Robotics.
CNR-IEIIT U.O. di Genova– BioRob Group: The expertise of this interdisciplinary research team ranges from bioengineering, cognitive systems, psychology, to robotics and signal processing. The focus is the study and the development of mobile intelligent robotic systems, able to intervene in real environments and to interact with humans; these systems display earning and problem solving capabilities simulating and imitating biological systems. The fields of application of these systems range from the service robotics (indoor / outdoor) to medical and bio robotics.
