Experts estimate that it could take at least 30 years to fully decommission the Fukushima power plant. The contaminated disaster site, that has so far leaked 710 billion becquerels of radioactive substances into the surrounding environment through contaminated water, has been touted as a catalyst for robotic innovation in the region.
